A sample platter of tasty hacker colors with dashes of toxic green cyberpunk, acid neon jewel tones, trippy abstract tech, and some sweet digital flashbacks. Disxcore is Discord’s Spring Summer 2023 Merch collection catering to LED strip owners and mecha fans. The collection is a response to fashion and internet trends of the time with a Discord twist.

Summary

Design a new Spring Summer Merch collection that appeals to researched trends of the time: anime, cyberpunk, y2k, mecha
Create social media launch assets to be announced with Discord’s 8th birthday
Ensure the line is inclusive to sizes, body types, genders, and styles

Challenges

Designed a library of over 80 visual elements that could be used to create different product items
Developed a new design language that grew from the original Discord branding and was eventually used in following projects to this day
